Inquest.—An inquest was held yesterday at the "George and Dragon" public- house, Lonsdale street, upon the body of a little girl, daughter of a gardener named Baker, residing on the Merri Creek, before W. B. Wilmot, Esq., Coroner for the District, and a jury of twelve householders. The child had been left in the hut, and having gone too close to the fire her clothes became ignited, from the effects of which she expired on Sunday last. The jury returned a verdict of accidental death.
