Spencer, son of John & Elizabeth Spencer... he has enlisted in the army, having run himself much in debt. She is daughter of James & Anne Thacker.

All Christened in Croydon church, where they were married. He works for Mr Ellis, is given to drinking and rarely attends church; she only occasionally. She says she can't manage to send her eldest girl to the Sunday School. Jane was dangerously ill with fever in August 1842.

[Later note: Eunice has attended church pretty regularly of late. John is very ill, a good deal brought on by drinking. He is a member of the Odd Fellow's Club.]

[Later still: John has profitted much by his late illness and I have a good hope it will be a blessing to him]3 As of circa 1849, John Titmus was also known as John Titmouse.4 In 1852 John Titmus accompanied by Jane Yarrow, Elizabeth Yarrow and Eunice Lenton Simpson sailed into AUS with Charles Yarrow and Jane Titmus; on ship "Argyle", with two small children, Jane's parents and five younger children.4 John died on 6 June 1887 in Coulson, QSD, AUS, at age 77.

     Eunice married, at age 19, John Titmus, aged 18 , son of William Titmus and Jane Haggar, on Monday, 13 October 1828 in Croydon-cum-Clopton, CAM, CAM, , William Titmus also attended John Titmarsh(X) bac & Eunice Simpson(X) sp botp. Wits: William Titmarsh(X) Thomas Titmarsh(X), John Simpson.1 In Croydon-cum-Clopton, CAM, CAM, on 1 January 1843 Eunice Lenton Simpson and John Titmus were described as They both read very little

All Christened in Croydon church, where they were married. He works for Mr Ellis, is given to drinking and rarely attends church; she only occasionally. She says she can't manage to send her eldest girl to the Sunday School. Jane was dangerously ill with fever in August 1842.

[Later note: Eunice has attended church pretty regularly of late. John is very ill, a good deal brought on by drinking. He is a member of the Odd Fellow's Club.]

[Later still: John has profitted much by his late illness and I have a good hope it will be a blessing to him]2 In 1852 Eunice Lenton Simpson accompanied by Jane Yarrow, Elizabeth Yarrow and John Titmus sailed into AUS with Charles Yarrow and Jane Titmus; on ship "Argyle", with two small children, Jane's parents and five younger children.3 Eunice died on 30 June 1863 in Ipswich, QSD, AUS, at age 54.3
