Frank Oswald Parrish1

M, #14447, b. 17 May 1884, d. 13 November 1931
Frank Oswald Parrish Frank Oswald Parrish Was living at 212, Elm Street, Michigan, USA prior to his return to Englandto join the Army (Royal Engineers) for WWI. Mother told me very little about his time in the States. I remeber being told that he [had] left his best Carpentary tools in Michigan, as he expected to return some day. I was told by Edne Brown (nee Parrish) that her father Jack Parrish [had] told her brother Neil that my father went to Canada and worked for a company called REO that made trucks and Lorries. On 24th. August 1995 I Went to Elm Street, Michigan, but No. 212 Had been demolished. I talked to one of the residients of Elm Strret and found that some of the houses had been demolished to make space for car parking. This must have happended sometime ago because trees of 12 inches diameter, at the base, were going on the site where No. 212 once stood. I was also told that all the houses were about the same design as No 214, which is still standing. The area was very delapidated as was an old Lady from No. 214, who came to her door to see what was going on.1 Born on Saturday, 17 May 1884 in Guilden Morden, Royston, CAM, ENG.1 He was the son of John William Parrish and Fanny Taylor.2 Frank married, at age 34, Agnes Eva Brockett, aged 32 , daughter of Wilfred Brockett and Rebecca Reavell, on Wednesday, 2 October 1918 in Royston, Royston, HRT, ENG.1 Frank died on 13 November 1931 in Willian, HRT, ENG, at age 47.1 He was buried on 16 November 1931 in Willian, HRT, ENG.1
